IAG in partnership with Westminster Foundation for Democracy conducted a series of discussion sessions on building effective and inclusive political parties and electoral system in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

The PhP65.91 billion budget shall serve as the guide and tool for the timely, effective, efficient and prudent use of available funds to ensure that planned programs and projects are actually carried out in FY 2020, to deliver to the Bangsamoro people their much needed and anticipated goods and services.

The purpose of this law is to establish an effective political entity, provide for its basic structure of government in recognition of the justness and cause of the Cordillerans and to secure their identity, posterity, and allow for meaningful governance.

While fund transfers are not a new financing mechanism in the country, the provision of a block grant by the national government to an autonomous region is a new system. As such, new guidelines and implementing rules are needed to ensure the proper and effective implementation of the Block Grant provision.
