We urge our lawmakers in the Senate to take their cue from the Lower House, and take the BBL into the homestretch. This is a race of hope, a race for peace. When the finish line is crossed, we, not just the Bangsamoro but the entire country, will all be winners.

These are the members of the House of Representatives discussing and voting which provisions of the "chairman and vice chairpersons' draft of the BBL" will be included in the final draft. Discussions at the committee level started on May 18 and may extend until May 20. 

The majority bloc in the House of Representatives flexed its muscles on Monday and overwhelmingly voted 35-17 to retain a provision in the proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law  that allows expansion of the Bangsamoro region after the enactment of the BBL | Manila Times
