Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos, Jr. warned the Palace against making any attempt to prod the Senate into rushing the passage of the Palace version of the proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law, saying it would likely backfire.

The Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) Secretary-General Iyad Ameen Madani reiterated the 57-nation Islamic group's support for the Bangsamoro during the 42nd Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers being held in Kuwait, the Office of Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process said in a statement.

Several heads of sultanates and royal houses were recently invited to a Senate hearing and consultation by the Committee on Local Government, where they aired concerns and recommendations on the bill.
