The Bangsamoro women are pinning their hopes on the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) as a key legislation that could potentially usher peace and development in the troubled region, but the deliberations on the proposed law in Congress have been stalled following the tragic January 25 Mamasapano encounter.

Following its probe on the Mamasapano incident, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front submitted its 35-page report containing its findings and recommendations to the International Monitoring Team on March 24.

At least 39 of the 75-member ad hoc committee tackling the BBL in the House of Representatives have signed a manifesto calling for the postponement of next month's closed-door deliberations on the measure until the chamber revives its probe into the Mamasapano police operation | GMA News

A survey showing that 44 percent of Filipinos are against the passage of the proposed Bangsamoro Basic Law is based on the views of a public misinformed about the contents of the bill, government peace panel chief Miriam Coronel-Ferrer said | Philippine Star

Senator Grace Poe, chair of the Senate committee on public order that led the probe on the bloody Mamasapano encounter, read the executive summary of the draft report at a press conference at the Senate on Tuesday.
