The Philippine government has batted for the completion of the Tripartite Review Process it has been conducting with the Moro National Liberation Front under the auspices of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation for the past eight years of the 1996 Final Peace Agreement to “do justice to the long struggle of the Bangsamoro.”

GPH peace panel chair Professor Miriam Coronel–Ferrer appealed once more to legislators to act on the draft Bangsamoro law,  saying that the recent terrorist attack in Indonesia last week, shows the urgency of countering the influence of extremist groups among the local population.

MILF peace panel chair Mohagher Iqbal said that if the BBL is not passed, the peace process will continue, even beyond the Aquino administration, as they will continue to demand from government to implement the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro, which includes passing the BBL | MindaNews
