The Institute for Autonomy and Governance (IAG) recently partnered with the Notre Dame RVM College of Cotabato (NDRVMCC) to launch a voter and civic engagement orientation program. This initiative aimed to equip the college's faculty and staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to become active and informed citizens.

The program featured a series of sessions with guest speakers who discussed various aspects of the electoral process, civic responsibilities, and community engagement. Participants were encouraged to form peer support groups and participate in community service projects.

Supported by the Australian Government, IAG’s political dialogue program highlights the crucial role that educators play in shaping future leaders. By equipping faculty and staff with knowledge about governance and civic responsibilities, the program aims to foster a culture of informed and active citizenship within the wider community.

IAG hopes this initiative has enhanced the understanding of the electoral process, the importance of voter education, and the significance of involvement in societal issues. By promoting awareness and active participation, we aim to create informed educators who can guide students in becoming responsible citizens.
