A year ago (September 9th, 2013), the Zamboanga Siege and Urban Battle came about rejecting the more peaceful options... A year after, the IDPs have remained in their provisional camps, because they are NOT allowed to return to their original places of origin...

I believe and hold... that Government should help these IDPs return to their original places... build better homes and communities of the IDPs.... It is unacceptable to resettle them OUTSIDE the city. The sooner we accept this fact, the faster the normalization becomes...

I find the piece of Ramon Tulfo in PDI p. A 18 to be inaccurate and also with NO basis... In fact, it is derogatory bordering to a sort of anti-Muslim animus. I would be willing to accompany the man in Zamboanga City so he himself could hear the stories of the IDPs simply for him to get his facts straight from the people...

We need to remove all our stereotypes and school ourselves to remove our pre-judgement of other faiths... cleanse ourselves of prejudices and negative animus against each other...

We better begin to see and treat each other as partners in building peace and better communities... No longer we present our communities in opposition to each other... but stakeholders for the survival of our community and planet...!

I am in solidarity with the IDPs of Zamboanga City!
